BOWEL & BLADDER
DYSFUNCTION

Bowel and bladder dysfunction is a common childhood condition that affects a child’s ability to control urination, bowel movements, or both. It can show up as frequent accidents, urgency, constipation, painful stools, stool accidents, or recurrent urinary tract infections. Often, constipation plays a major role because the bowel and bladder sit closely together in the pelvis — when the bowel is full, it can interfere with normal bladder function.

At Dragonfly Kids Therapy, we take a supportive approach that focuses on improving healthy bathroom habits, proper toileting posture, pelvic floor coordination, hydration, and confidence. With the right guidance and consistency, most children make meaningful progress and regain independence.
